I’ll miss you, GDub!

In the most bittersweet speech of his presidency, I have to say I will miss the great president who has protected this country unwaveringly for the past 7 years.  As the days approach and Dubya leaves office, I feel a tug on my heart that the comfort and safety that I once felt, and often rested unnoticeable on my spirit will soon disappear.  God Bless you, President Bush.  Our country is eternally indebted to you for sacrificing your name for the good and protection of this great nation.

Here is a great article by Fred Barnes on Bush’s top ten accomplishments.

A quick few include:

-Refual to sign the Kyoto Protocol

-An unwavering friendship to Israel

-Not looking to federal judges to make important national security issues

-Interrogating terrorists

GDub Bids Farewell.

Although many are counting down the days to the ever-so popular Bush’s last day in office, I’m going to miss the famous Dubya.  I’m still such a strong advocate for the idea that ten years from now when history is actually told and the media can’t constantly drill this Bush derangement syndrome into the heads of Americans, people will have an extremely different opinion on G. Walker!

In an historic interview with Brit Hume, Dubya and Bush Sr. reflected on Dubya’s two terms in office.

My favorite quote from the interview…:)

I know I gave it my all for eight years, and I did not sell my soul for the sake of popularity. And so when I get back home and look in the mirror, I will be proud of what I see.

I heart GDUB!
