There are 78 people in the United States with the name Toni Woods.

How many other people have your name?

Speculation vs. Realism

In Election '08 on June 16, 2008 at 2:53 am

Obama is running for Carter’s second term; McCain is running for Bush’s third term; These have been the most recent buzzwords from the pundits.  The truth is, no one knows what will happen next?  This whole election has been entirely arbitrary.

Not even a year ago, people were calling for John McCain to drop out because of campaign scandals, insufficient funds (which still appears to be a problem), and a lack of base party support (also a problem).  Also, less than a year ago Hillary had won the Democratic nomination and there was no possiblility that anyone else had a chance of beating her.  Who was Obama a year ago anyway?  Just some junior senator from Illinois, HELLOOOOOOOOOO!

We all saw that punditry, speculation, poll numbers, along with everything else the media feeds us didn’t come true, so it’s safe to say that THE OUTCOME OF THIS ELECTION IS UNKNOWN!

Right-Wing Bloviating…As O’Reilly would say!

Consequently, now that the media has proved unwavering in its quest to pick both party nominees, it’s hard to resist the tempting inclination to give up hope (which apparently we are now in an abundance of?) and revolt against the communistic demising media, who enshrine every commandment of the left.  Why has the right we are world renowned for…freedom of the press, turned into such a sadistic nightmare?

I pity Hillary Clinton for abandoning everything she so fervently petitioned for and encouraging her supporters to unite and support NOBAMA after the gruesome fight she led.  Truly my motives for supporting her strictly during primary season, were to ensure a division within the Democratic Party and ultimately eliminate even the slightest chance that Barack Obama could occupy the White House in 2008.  BUT why did it have to come down to this?  Hillary could have played a neutral role in departing from her respectable campaign and not abandoned her principles like she has…how disappointed as a primary supporter I am!  And to make matters worse, she has adapted the “Yes We Can” slogan that Obama supporters so ardently annoyingly chant whenever given a microphone or soundbite.  MY SOLUTION TO ALL HILLARY VOTERS/SUPPORTERS…Go McCain!  Do your party a favor.

Two candidates now stand and both are inevitably flamboyant liberals, who are adored by the mainstream media.  I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again…Incognito is an understatment.  Both darlings are virtually unknown for their politics.  One speculates that the Gipper is rolling over in his grave as he watches everything he slaved over be eradicated.

My question is…Now what?  Vote for McCain, which I knew would be my action the instant Romney suspended his candidacy?  Vote Third Party and waste a viable vote?  Or abstain respectfully because of the disgraceful gamut of options I’ve been left to entertain?  You tell me.
